What We Offer

Welcome to Unschool Clubhouse!

Unschool Clubhouse is the years-long dream of homeschool mom friends Meagan Clare and Jodi Stewart. Between us we’ve homeschooled seven kids, Meagan for almost 15 years and Jodi for over 20. We've sampled almost every homeschool program model available. We’ve loved a lot of things about all of them, but through it all, we’ve been looking for that “unicorn” program that meets every one of our families’ needs. Finally, we decided to design it ourselves. Here’s what you’ll find at Unschool Clubhouse. We hope it meets your family’s needs too.

A Quick Overview

At Unschool Clubhouse we offer groups that are both social and educational for ages 0-teen, all for one price, and a teen drop-off program for a small additional fee. We have facilitators to lead our groups, so mom doesn’t have to teach a class; and you’re not locked in for a whole day, participate in the groups that work best for your family.

Hands-On Cooperative Learning

We believe that learning can be fun and social. Your child won’t be expected to sit quietly alone at a desk. All of our groups encourage hands-on participation, discussion, and teamwork. We believe that cooperation and collaboration are skills that can benefit our kids in college, work, and everyday life.

A Mom and Me Program for 0-6

At Unschool Clubhouse we have Mom and Me groups geared towards our youngest learners. Babies, toddlers, and preschoolers will enjoy play-based, active learning with mom by their side, and mom will have a chance to meet friends too! Want to know more about our 0-6 program? Check out our blog post, We Love Babies at Unschool Clubhouse.

Someone Else Does the Teaching

Our facilitators lead group discussions and activities. There are lots of volunteer opportunities and we welcome and appreciate your help! But don't worry, moms are not expected to teach a class.

No Hidden Fees

At Unschool Clubhouse, you'll pay upfront. Each semester there will be a registration fee class fees for each child. We kept our class fees as affordable as possible and they work out to less than $10 per child per week. There's an extra fee if you drop off your teen. You may need to bring personal supplies, like a notebook and pencils, but you won’t be hit with last minute fees.

A Flexible Schedule

Sometimes it’s hard to commit to a whole day out of the house. At Unschool Clubhouse, our groups are a la carte. You can choose the ones that benefit and interest your family and help you check the boxes in your homeschooling. You can participate in as many or as few as you wish.

Teen Drop-Off

Our teen drop-off program offers your child age 12+ a chance to learn and socialize and be a little more independent. We offer the option of dropping off your teen for a small additional fee.

Non-Religious and Non-Political

At Unschool Clubhouse we seek to center the experience of the child. That means we leave our personal ideology at the door. Welcome to a safe place where you won't need to discuss religion or politics.

College Courses Through ASU

Our students and their families can take college courses through Arizona State University. Courses are $25 to register and, if you like your grade, $400 to convert to credit on your transcript. Click here for more information.
